Aventus Group is looking for an experienced, execution-oriented, and commercially minded Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our lending operations in Colombia.
Since 2009, Aventus Group has been building and growing consumer lending businesses across the globe. Today, we operate in 26 countries, serving millions of customers through innovative digital financial solutions. In addition to our core lending business, over the last year we have successfully launched our BNPL Mobile Asset Lending operations in Peru, Mexico, and South Africa, and we continue expanding across new markets.
As part of our growth strategy, we are now accelerating our presence in Colombia and are looking for a COO who can drive operational excellence, scale performance, and support sustainable business growth.
What you’ll do
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Colombia business;
- Drive execution of business growth and expansion strategies;
- Build and optimize scalable operational processes and frameworks;
- Oversee customer acquisition, loan servicing, collections, customer support, and partner management;
- Monitor and improve portfolio performance, operational efficiency, and profitability;
- Manage business KPIs, unit economics, and operational performance;
- Partner closely with Risk, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Technology teams;
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and performance standards;
- Ensure effective execution of collections and portfolio management strategies;
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing local teams;
- Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and financial institutions;
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies;
- Provide regular business updates and recommendations to Group leadership and shareholders.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of executive leadership experience as COO, General Manager, or similar;
- Proven experience in fintech, BNPL, banking, payments, or financial services;
- Deep understanding of lending operations, portfolio management, collections, and business economics;
- Strong track record of scaling operations and building teams in high-growth environments;
- Experience managing P&L and business performance;
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills;
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities;
- Experience in the Colombian financial services market is critical.
