We are looking for a highly driven Chief Operating Officer to join our new PDL business in the Dominican Republic. This is a unique opportunity to build operations from the ground up and play a key role in launching and scaling a new business.
You will work directly with the CEO, take ownership of day-to-day operations, help build the local team, establish processes, and drive execution in a fast-paced startup environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building rather than maintaining, thrives in ambiguity, and is excited by the challenge of creating a business from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale operational processes for a new PDL business;
- Work closely with the CEO on business launch and execution;
- Recruit, develop, and lead the local operations team;
- Establish efficient workflows and operational standards;
- Drive execution across multiple workstreams and solve operational challenges;
- Build relationships with key local stakeholders and partners;
- Ensure high operational performance while supporting rapid business growth.
Requirements
- Based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic;
- Fluent Spanish;
- Working level of English;
- Experience leading operational teams;
- Strong ownership mentality and hands-on leadership style;
- Ability to work in a startup environment with limited structure;
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Strong local network and understanding of the Dominican market.
Nice to have
- Experience in PDL or consumer lending;
- Experience in debt collection;
- Experience in telecommunications;
- Experience in BPO or customer operations;
- Previous experience launching a new business, branch, or operational function.
